You can make a copy of a sketch from your sketchbook and upload it into Procreate on your iPad and trace over the image. I like to use the Monoline brush that come with the program to outline or trace and sketch with in Procreate.
This technique is beginner friendly; if you can trace you can do this! It doesn’t have to be your own image; you can go to search online for free images for personal and commercial use and practice tracing. Tracing is a great way to actually develop muscle memory and can teach how to actually draw on your own without tracing!
Practicing drawing every single day is really important if you have a desire to draw and eventually sell your artwork! So, cultivate and devise an intentional day and time that you will practice drawing and for how long. Even 5-10 minutes of consistent practice will yield amazing results in 30 days than if you practie 5-10 minues sporatically with week and months apart. Don’t despise small beginners! I little step with consistency will bring you great rewards and you’ll be amazed how far you come in such a short amount of time!
Happy creating and enjoy this short video of me taking a sketch from my sketchbook and turn it into digital art in Procreate!
